About the Journal

 Annals of Forest Research

The "Annals of Forest Research" is the first periodical publication edited by the "Marin Drăcea" National Research-Development Institute in Forestry located in Bucharest, Romania. The journal's inaugural volume was published in 1934, a year after the establishment of the Institute for Forest Research and Experimentation (ICEF), which is the former name of the institute now known as ICAS.

Over its 80-year history, the journal has been published annually, with occasional years featuring two volumes. There have been two significant interruptions in its publication: from 1947 to 1950, and from 1988 to 2000.

The journal's title has evolved over time. From 1934 to 1946, it was published as "Anale." Between 1951 and 1989, the title changed to "Studies and Researches." In 2001, it reverted to "Analele ICAS," and since 2008, it has been known as the "Annals of Forest Research."
