Abstract
The research aimed to identify the level of application of cotton crop farmers to the scientific recommendations related to Hawija district / Kirkuk governorate and its relationship to some variables, as well as to identify some of the characteristics of the respondents, and to determine the relationship between the independent variables studied and the level of implementation of the recommendations. This research is considered a descriptive analytical research; The province of Kirkzak, Iraq, was an area for conducting this research, and 30% of the farmers were selected in four regions in the study province, which includes 420 farmers specialized in the cultivation of cotton crops, and thus the sample reached (126) farmers
By the simple random sample method, and to find the reliability of the tool, a random exploratory sample of (25) respondents distributed over the study area was chosen from outside the research sample, and to find the stability coefficient, the Alph-chronabach method was used, as the value of the validity coefficient was (0.96) degree, and the Collecting the necessary data to investigate the respondents during the month of June 2022. Statistical methods and tools were used to analyze and interpret the research results, including the arithmetic mean, standard deviation, percentage, simple and multiple correlation coefficient, as well as the use of frequency distribution tables
In the light of what the results showed, and the percentage of 64.28% of the farmers surveyed, their application was moderate when applying the scientific recommendations for cultivating the cotton crop. As well as the low knowledge of the respondents about the educational role, the planning role, the supportive role, the coordinating role, the communication role, and the training role of the extension center.
